Travis Voorhies is the Founder and CEO of 81 Security and Consulting, one of Cybersecurity’s newest Small Businesses. Mr. Voorhies has used his over 20 years of Cybersecurity experience in Healthcare, Automotive, Insurance and Education industries, to bring a unique perspective to securing organizational infrastructures. Values from his over 30 years of Martial Arts training helped to motivate his passions for both Motorsports and Technology. Serving as the Information Security Officer for one of Nashville, Tennessee’s oldest Educational institutions, Nashville State Community College, he established a plan that brought NSCC up to date in Cybersecurity, securing over 30,000 students and faculty. Partnering with organizations such as the Institute for Applied Network Security (IANS), as well as being an associated member with the Nashville Executive Roundtable and CyberRisk Alliance organizations and community. These strategic partners helped to fuel his passion towards Leadership and Business development.

Mr. Voorhies has a passion for the Cybersecurity space, holding accredited Industry Certifications to his name. He can often be found amongst his peers at Executive events with Cybersecurity professionals from various industries and backgrounds as well as events more suited for guiding new professionals to the Cybersecurity space.
